Blow It Out

Music: Steve Leonard
Words: JP Garwood

Sometimes skies are aging
like the hair upon my head
Opening like time machines
to reveal what I said
But I do not care for conflict
between the skies and me
So blow it out, my darling
do your worst and set me free

Even days like Tuesday
are enough to wear me out
Always dragging Wednesdays in
increasing Monday’s doubt
So if Karin lights a candle
on some dark Tuesday night
Blow it out, my darling
or one day she just might

All these days I’m dreaming
of colors I can’t see
They steals my waking hours
and my desire to be free
So whenever you are breathing
take my colors from the air
Then blow them out, my darling
painting murals everywhere

And my love is stupid for you
and my life is hatred and glue
I find I can’t fill my shoes
I find I can’t see the clues

Blow out what you can’t use
Blow out what you can’t use
Blow out what you can’t use
Blow out what you can’t use
